Just a quick update as it’s been too long! Been pretty busy lately with various things. Not long back from a week in Majorca, Spain’s largest and most vibrant island. After a busy and stressful few months, the holiday was a perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of several ventures as well as to revitalise myself in preparation for what is next. I feel very relaxed and refreshed after the trip and have some new ideas for a travel writing piece with a difference, so keep following!
Aside from that I have been back in the writers circle attending poems and pints night in The Queens pub in Carmarthen (last monday of every month) and The poetry hour, a new group set up by a good friend of mine in Queens Hall in Narberth (last Thursday of every month). Have finally finished my proofreading course so I should soon be a qualified proof reader, ready to take on work! And I have also recently entered a mentoring competition with Cinnamon Press (after being selected as one of those who has shown promise in previous competitions) in the hope of working with them to bring my novel to publishable standard. I am really excited that I have been given the opportunity to apply for such an innovative project in small-scale publishing.
Meanwhile I am glad to finally have some free time, with my hours at work decreasing and my other projects coming to a close, to finally pursue the writing as a number one priority. And at the moment I feel very positive about what the next few months may bring.
I hope to be back here very soon….
