A progressive week!

There is a famous saying, ‘good things come in threes’. Well, for me, this week was no exception. It was a very eventful week….

I appeared in the Milford Mercury on Thursday 29th November as part of my volunteer work at the Torch Theatre.  The group had spent the previous Thursday morning stuffing envelopes with posters for future events.  I also do some marketing work for them, putting posters up around Pembrokeshire and I review their productions for Theatre Wales when I can too.

I also finally got the good news that I have passed my proofreading course with the PTC. So I am now officially trained as a proofreader and able to apply for work!

And finally… I have been offered a place on the mentoring scheme with Cinnamon Press. Which means I shall be working closely with the publishers to edit my book so that it is suitable for publication. At the end of the year, i may be one of the two participants chosen to have my manuscript published with them! So i am obviously very excited about this!

In all, it’s been a good week for me professionally. I plan to take stock over the next few weeks and get some rest over Christmas in preparation for what is to come.

So, as one year heads towards a close, I am feeling positive about a new year for my writing.
